Handling Counter Conditioning and Desensitization
The Importance of Handling
How to Train Your Dog to Love a Bath, a Brushing, or Even a Mani/Pedi
Hesper in School
This is McKenzie's first Day Training session with me. He is a dog who bites when groomed and often has to be anesthetized at the vet's office to get a full hair trim. Here I am beginning to counter condition his negative association with being restrained and brushed.
In 2015, Copper came to our clinic for the first time. He was very friendly but nervous about handling. If anyone, including his family, tried to hold him still in any way, he would panic.
